Neo-Cons don't die... they just go to the private sector to regroup.
Up Next: Senator Diarrhea announces he's running!
(My friend Nemesis should appreciate this.) When you're in a hurry preparing for a live newscast and trying to get your text typed into the Chyron, mistakes inevitably happen. With Idaho's senior GOoPer wingnut Senator Mike Crapo, having his name misspelled probably happens often.

And yet, somehow, the tag is so appropriate...

Inevitable, My Dears
How funny! I didn't see the video when I just checked their site...but it does say this:

Updated: April 14, 2010 02:55 PM MDT
So, maybe they removed the video when the typo was pointed out?
These days, the Local News 8 CG person uses a Harris program run on Windows instead of the Chyron...and doesn't have to type most of the supers like they did in the old days. The producers/reporters type their own supers as they develop the story, and the CG person just sequences through them on the downstream keyer. They COULD read ahead and edit typos if they have time, though...but since they combined the CG and audio functions a little while back, who has time?
Gads, I remember the way it used to be when I started out on the CG in '85, furiously typing in everything that went out on the air, (including instant sport scores) and my typos were legendary. Misspelled Isiah Thomas' first name as the traditional spelling of Isaiah (ONE TIME ONLY) and to my everlasting horror, once spelled the name of the country as the "Phillipines". AARRGGHH. ;-)
